shield 1. Introduction & Privacy Commitment
At HA HUB, we believe that your home automation data belongs exclusively to you. Smart home environments contain sensitive information regarding your daily habits, presence, lighting, security cameras, and connected devices.
This Privacy Policy explains how HA HUB operates with a strict, uncompromising privacy-by-design architecture: all communications happen locally between your Android tablet and your personal Home Assistant instance. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or monitor any personal data or usage metrics.
lan 2. 100% Local Network Communication & OAuth2
HA HUB interfaces with your smart home using official standard OAuth2 authentication provided directly by your Home Assistant server:
- Direct Local Connection: All API requests (REST / WebSockets) are sent directly from your tablet to your local Home Assistant server URL over your local Wi-Fi or LAN.
- Secure Local Storage: Your OAuth2 access tokens and server URLs are stored solely on your local device with secure and private storage.
- No Intermediaries: No commands, device statuses, or authentication tokens ever pass through external proxy servers or third-party cloud infrastructure.
Your authentication credentials remain 100% in your control. Revoking the token inside Home Assistant's user settings instantly revokes access for HA HUB.
block 3. Data We Do NOT Collect
To be unequivocally clear, HA HUB does NOT collect, store, share, or process any of the following:
- Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not collect your name, email, physical address, or phone number.
- Home Automation Telemetry: We do not collect device states, sensor readings, switch toggles, cameras, automations, or room configurations.
- Analytics & Telemetry: We do not embed analytics SDKs (such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or Facebook SDK).
- Location Data: We do not access, track, or record GPS or physical location data.
- Floorplan Blueprints: Floorplan images uploaded to HA HUB remain strictly saved in your tablet's local app storage.
credit_card 4. In-App Purchases & Billing Information
HA HUB is distributed as a paid application through the Google Play Store. All payment processing, currency conversions, billing records, and license verifications are handled exclusively by Google Play (Google LLC / Google Commerce Ltd) according to Google's Privacy Policy.
HA HUB never receives, processes, or stores credit card details, bank account numbers, or billing addresses.
settings_applications 5. Android Device Permissions & Justification
HA HUB requests exclusively the two minimal network permissions strictly required to communicate with your local Home Assistant instance:
- android.permission.INTERNET: Required to establish local HTTP/REST and WebSocket connections directly between your tablet and your Home Assistant server across your local Wi-Fi or LAN.
- android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used exclusively to check network connectivity status and display the disconnected Wi-Fi status icon on the dashboard when connection is lost.
HA HUB does NOT request location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, background tracking, or any dangerous runtime permissions.
security 6. Security Best Practices
Because all data stays on your local device and network, your smart home security is tied to your local network setup. We strongly recommend securing your Home Assistant instance with HTTPS/SSL, using strong passwords, and enabling two-factor authentication on your Home Assistant accounts.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new features or regulatory requirements. Any updates will be published directly on this page with an updated revision date.
